Welcome to my blog. The hardest part of starting this blog was actually starting.
So many ideas.
My main goal is to create a platform where Young, vibrant Nigerians can communicate. Share their thoughts on the situation in Naij. Provide solutions. Yan. Gist. Come together.
Work together. This should be a very interactive sight
Of course this blog is open to all other Africans who have constructive thoughts to share about state of affairs, and the rest of the world too.
So many educated Africans out there, that we don’t hear about. Contribute our ideas.
Innovate. Maybe Make a difference?
So many feel the way I do. We know we need to progress, and excuse the cliché but the power IS in our hands.
So comment! speak, like a sanechild.
Peace & Love
A!
Totally agree with you. The power is in our hands. But one needs to work harder than they do today, to demonstrate the existence of that power. And it’s not all about money, but dedication and determination, knowing where you are heading, and not letting nothing distract you from the path you’ve decided to take to get there.
you’re right, it’s definitely not about the money anymore, before wealth ruled Africa, but now, in Nigeria for example, the wealthy are uncomfortable and scared. There is so much anarchy on the rise, and many countries are beginning to tilt towards a revolution, they may not know it, but the slightest things spark revolt.
Another thing is, I think people don’t even know where to start to make change happen. you know the infamous question, “what can we do about it?”
Sometimes i wonder if the so called leaders ever think it’s a privileged for them being who they are..Considering the fact that we all humans regardless of who we are or what we have..One day, we will all return and give account of what we’ve done with what he gave us. God don’t discriminate, You are were you are to follow as a leader. Its more of a responsibility than what they think. You have what you have to give as a needy.
I think the next generation of Nigerians have the chance to make a difference, if they say no to corruption which their fathers are stipped in, if they are not greedy and have the mind to just do the right thing, if they have the audacity to resist the evil minded people bent only on accumulating wealth. Their time is now, grab it and use, make the difference.
Hey Lanre! Sad to say but we don’t have leaders. fact. I don’t know what to use to describe what we have today in Nigeria. Sometimes I wander if a revolution like in Egypt is what we need. In Ghana, the new president basically wiped out all the corrupt political leaders, and that’s how Ghana-must-go is moving forward. I think we need a shake up like that in Nigeria, because our ‘leaders’ act invincible. but as the saying goes, evil prevails when the good guys keep quiet. let me know if there are any topics you’d like me to touch on under the TRENDING TOPICS page. Thanks for speaking out today!
Will all have great points on this topic. I do have to say that we cannot rely on just the upcoming generation to make a change because children of the wealthy, usually and understandably, follow in their parent’s footsteps. On the other hand, children of the poor, still have an inferiority complex. But I do believe that change in Nigeria, can only happen when those that have been pushed to the edge, begin to demand change. Sanechild is right, we do need a revolution. As frightening as it sounds, all great countries (U.S., U.K., South Africa) underwent a revolution and in the end, a strict government with strict laws was established. Nigeria is still a very young country … only 51 years old! Most never forget that but I never do, and this is why I definitely still have faith in our country.
Nigerians should not rely on the Government for a thing cos dat wl b suicidal.
Dis “d nxt generation wil b be ta tin” is a chest nut.. Nobdy wnts to stand up to responsibility.. 9ja wil change d day we change our mind set..if we are nt ready to change our mind set den no matter ow many corrupt leaders we annihilate notin wil change. I anticipate a better 9ja sha.
So how do we change the mindset of Nigerians? everyone complains about poverty, yet if the majority of nigerians were really uncomfortable with poverty, they would take action against it collectively, because sitting and expecting a miracle doesn’t cut it.

SELF-DETERMINATION is d solution 2 Africa’s problems. D European colonial powers arbitrarily shared Africa at their Berlin Conference & Africa has known no peace eva since. They call our ethnic nationalities (Igbo, Yoruba, Zulu, Tuareg etc) mere tribes but call theirs (French, English, German, Italian) nations. It is unfair & racist.
D time has come 4 Africa 2 break free. Eritrea is free. South Sudan is free. Azawad wil b free. Biafra wil b free. Oduduwa, Arewa, Niger-Delta, Middle-Belt, Bakassi, Oromo, Cyrenaica, Acholiland, Katanga & others shal b free.
Take a look at dis picture of Nigeria’s future: http://www.kingkoboko.wordpress.com/nigeria-tomorrow
Call me insane if u lik. *winks* SELF-DETERMINATION is d key. SELF-DETERMINATION is d future.
your comment actually made me think about our identity as Nigerians! I made a post on it: identity crisis
Dts very thoughtful of you. Its high time our (Africans) voice nid to be heard, we ‘ve always allow wat they call us (3rd world countries) weighed us down. Now is d tym to wake up and change dere perception abt us.
This is very good, I’ve been looking for a site/forum like this for ages. The future of our country Nigeria lies in the hands of the youth( the articulate ones not the thugs). With the boko haram issue going on now and the oil wealth sharing controversy among the different states things would probably change in the next couple years. I just wish that we could actually do what the youth did in the Arab Spring. @King Koboko you are right, the country ids just full of different nations all struggling to be free. Its high time that we accomplish this. But I fear that with the current concentration of power and wealth in the North secession will be very difficult. God bless the person who started this blog.
A very wonderful idea. Nigeria must go forward.
